A brand built on social, stepping onto the street

Gymshark built its brand online. Millions of followers, a tight community, a deeply recognisable aesthetic. The New York flagship store opening was the moment to translate that into physical space — to show that a digitally native brand could own the streets of the world's most competitive retail city.

The ask was a format that matched the brand: raw, high-energy, culturally credible. Not premium billboards. Not bus-side wraps. Wild posting — the format that belongs to the neighbourhood, that reads as culture rather than advertising, and that generates its own organic shareability when it is done well.

We planned and placed wild posting across five distinct areas of New York City. The sites were chosen for foot traffic, demographic alignment with Gymshark's audience, and geographic spread — the goal was city-wide presence, not concentration in one neighbourhood.

Wild posting works when the creative is strong enough to stop someone mid-stride. Gymshark's We Do Gym artwork was — bold, minimal, confident. Our job was to get it on the right walls in the right places at the right scale. The placement strategy ensured it landed in areas where Gymshark's existing fans would find it and new audiences would encounter it as part of the fabric of the city rather than as an intrusion into it.
